This is kinda OT but would help with my depression to know for sure whether Gumtree.co.uk is a reliable website to buy things from please?
There are a few wheelchair accessible cars/vans for under £2,000 that I've got my eye on that I can't afford atm, but if Gumtree sellers are unreliable or con artists or whatever then I'll stop looking. If they are good though, could you let me know that too please so I can keep looking through the site.
Am I asking too much or is it worth bookmarking for when I can afford it please?
Thank you!

Sorry Amanda, I wanted to answer your questions but I'm still not very good at saying the 'n' *hanging head in shame*.
I haven't used Gumtree to buy or sell on so can't give first hand experience. However I do have friends who use the site regularly and arevery positive about it. It's like anything else - most people are sensible / reliable with the rare idiot cropping so it's basically down to common sense. Even with depression chucked in for good measure it is worth booking.

Groovy, thank you Pip!

if you do use3 the site, only look at those who will take Paypal, there will always be a scammer here and there,
mainly avoid those who will only use western union or the like, and NEVER send cash
and if at all possible, get someone to help you go see it.

Thank you Stewart! If I get the car from Gumtree, it'll be Steve and his sister that go and see it, I'm just paying! lol
