I have run out of my medication and been to the doctors today. I told her I dont get paid till the 28th from my job and have no money to get my medication. Does anyone know if I can find a way to get my medication? I am going to run out and have none for almost two weeks now.

I have no idea myself but wonder if it might be worth speaking to the CAB.

I dont know what I am gonna do. I run out tomorrow. I told the doctor that as well and she wasnt much use, she wouldnt even prescribe me a few sleeping tablets even though I had no sleep last night due to my idiot housemate. I told her and she was absolutely no use to me.
Thanks Buttercup

I have had no sleep Buttercup, which always makes my depression worse. Now I have to go to bloody work on top of it. If I come back later and say I have packed my job dont be surprised, am end of my tether today what with unhelpful doctors and idiotic housemates

I can understand that feeling, I've taken today off.

I am going to ask work for a sub on my wages but I have a feeling they are gonna say no

What a nightmare. I'm very lucky we no longer have to pay for prescriptions in Scotland.
Hope you got something sorted.

Alex, I was in a similar position a couple of times, I had forgotten to hand in my repeat prescription request and it was the weekend. I went to the usual chemist and asked the Pharmacist to borrow me 2-3 days worth. How often has a Pharmacy had to owe you some pills? Then on the Monday, I gave him my prescription and he deducted 2 or 3 pills. If you always use the same pharmacy, it shouldn't be a problem. If it's meds like antidepressants, a Pharmacist will know the importance of of your problem.
Hopefully you manage to resolve it.

I ended up getting a loan off Wonga. It put my mind at rest at least now
-
Wonga? Is it pay day loan thing? I used to get caught out all the time with my meds, but it's never good to go a couple of days without. On the combination I am on now, if I miss any, I'm a hyper wreck :exc:
Pleased your mind's at rest

yes Cat, payday loan. I had no food, nothing, so I had to do it. work werent going to give me a sub and I have no one else to ask. it was only for 44 quid so nothing too much. It helped me get my prescription at least. I wasnt looking fowards to cold turkey. I did that last Sept and it was awful, crying at drop of a hat and insomnia every night
