Title: Guilty
Post by: roadrunner on March 02, 2013, 12:28:57 PM
Why is it I seem to be made to feel guilty of how I'm feeling?

I think it's a part of it, feeling like your letting everyone down makes me feel guilty and ashamed.

I have always felt guilty while suffering depression. I feel guilty for my family worrying about me.

Guilt is something I know a lot about as well.  People making you feel guilty is emotional blackmail.  My stubbornness can make me do the exact opposite. _)_

I wish somebody would talk to my family & make them understand. I feel worse as I'm worrying for them too. My girlfriend is about to leave me I feel.

Only one person I know understands me & that's because she's been through the same thing. I'm supposed to be signed off this week but I've been pressured back to work today. Just feel like running away from everything, finding a dark place & curling up.

Being forced back to work when you are supposed to be signed off is crazy and wrong.  It will not be helping you, no wonder you feel so bad. I have been where you are and just wanted to hide myself away, so I do understand.

Does anyone at work know how bad you are feeling? Is there anyway you can get home?

I just don't think they understand, its like because its not something they can see. I can get home if need to.

Its hard for others to understand, we tend to put our 'I am OK face' on. If we had a broken bone and in plaster they could understand that.  If you still feel bad maybe its best to get home. Could you see your Dr and make sure you are signed off as you were supposed to be?

Sorry, roadrunner, that you've been feeling so bad.

By the sounds of things, you might be going back to work too soon, although, I can appreciate pressure from the employer isn't easy to stand up against.  The thing is, will you get any more thanks for it?  I doubt it.  I suppose you can only push yourself and see how things pan out.

Let us know how things are going
