Title: Finding others like me in the real world...
Post by: bennett211085 on September 03, 2010, 07:06:00 PM
Isn't there any sort of meeting place or self help groups for dperessed people to get together and support each like there is with drugs and alcohol?

I've suffered from depression for many years and now find myself at the point where I'm on constant edge and in end it all snap mode for large parts of the day. I manage to just about get by without breaking down in a fit, but even thats touch and go.

I realise the last posts were written last year, but i'd just like to add that i've always sought support groups for Dysthymia but have only ever had one to one therapy offerred.  Unfortunately Dysthymia is still under recognised, even though it can last a lifetime.
