they have moved me down a bracket for care should i ring them or appeal
-
my overnight care was cut and i really need it
-
the DLA have been cutting allot of things I urge to to seek advice from http://www.citizensadvice.org.uk/ if you have a case they will back you all the way.
-
thank you
-
It's worth following mat's advice as it's worth pursuing. There have been a number of cuts but some people are appealing and winning.
-
Cuts everywhere but fortunately most people who appeal do win so it's always worth pursuing.
Iggy, do they still pay the overnight care while you're appealing?
-
i don't think so - i just wonder what type of doctore doesn't see that night is the worst bit
-
the dla have their "own" doctors or medical professionals so to say that make their decisions based on your circumstances , i remember a case where this man had a heart attack and needed surgery and had to be off work, his own GP sent a letter stating this but the dla so called medical professionals deemed him fit for work this guy ended up having another heart attack and dying while working.
please keep us informed of your fight against them .
-
while awaiting appeal, nope the payment is not there, but when you win the appeal, all backpay is given
-
my doctor has written a letter for me. so i will send it
-
Go for it xxx
-
still waiting for my psyc to write - so annoying
-
That's so annoying for you xxx
-
just getting through the admin system to get them to hurry up is painful. as it is i get to see the pysch onece every 3 months - if i am lucky it is someone i have seen before.
-
I'm lucky that I see the same psych each time.
-
It's a very frustrating process and these doc's get on my nerves when they hold up paperwork. None of them have a clue what it's like to stress so much over a little bit of money for care. I hope it gets sorted soon
-
the welfare benefits are backing but everyone except thrm is slow
-
My DLA has been restored to the correct level.
-
That's good to hear iggy. I worry over the future of my own DLA. It's good they are clamping down, but it's usually the genuine ones who suffer
-
they have made me suffer. i have to give up trying to get well to go round begging for letters.
-
Yes, I understand that frustrating process. When it comes to money and our future without any, the pressure is immense and can make our depression 100x worse
-
thank goodness for welfare rights
