Title: daily mood rhythm
Post by: esistvollbracht on August 28, 2010, 01:26:07 PM
I'm in a depression  that has lasted, to one degree or another, for nearly fifteen years. For most of that time I've experienced my mood lightening during the day, feeling worst when I wake up and more tolerable in the evenings. I believe this is quite typical? But this year my depression has deepened, and lately my daily rhythm has flipped: I feel fairly neutral when I wake up and then worst in the evenings, when I commonly just go to bed and lie there. Anyone have any comments? Does this signify anything?

thanks

Hi, im far from an expert on depression but some people feel better with light.
It sounds like something has changed in your life in the past year that your not used to, i know for me i cant handle any form of change, hope that helps.

Thanks.  It has been a somewhat different year, so I guess your point makes sense.  But actually I dislike light.  I even have a kind of seasonal affective thing where I hate the days getting longer.
