anyone who likes books with action (lots of it) try Matthew Reilly,
titles like ice station, Area 7, and Scarecrow.
main recuring character callsign 'scarecrow' is leading a USMC recon unit, he dont waste pages describing some base layout, just a one page diagram, the rest is ACTION all the way.
