Title: What kinda things can you call the CMHT for?
Post by: nocaph on December 20, 2012, 09:25:57 PM
They keep saying "you have our number" but they never tell me what it's for.  What are the reasons for people phoning them?

Never phoned mine. I see my support worker quite frequently & have their number if I have a crisis.

I just did something I've never done before - phoned the crisis team and asked for help.  I told them I'm scared to go outside, I'm drinking to silence the despair and I feel like every inch of me is shaking even though it isn't physically.  The woman was really nice and said she'll contact folk and see if anyone can come see me over the christmas period to keep me grounded

It's exactly for that. If you aren't coping.

I've phoned my crisis team twice and as a result was sent to psychiatry a week later.
