Hi everyone,
In brief, suffered with depression for some years. After recent bout off depression, low self esteem, insecurities and shutting everyone out my fiancé left me 2 weeks ago. She is 27 weeks pregnant. I slipped further away from her in the months before she left and was drinking a lot also. I am distraught and all I want is to fix myself in the hope she will come back. Drinking makes thing so much worse. I attempted an od on Thursday and am waiting to be referred to worcestermental health team. Sally now refuses to speak with me in any way. I'm so lost... Fred.

Hi Freddie, welcome to the forun.
I am sorry to hear your fiancé has left you, being on a waiting list for referral is good, unfortunatly these lists can seem to take forever for you to be at the top.
can you talk to your gp, tell them how bad you feel and maybe they can do something to help expedite the matter

Hi Freddie,
Sorry to hear about your situation. I hope you can try not to feel overwhelmed by everything that is happening to you right now. The first and most important thing is to make yourself well. Only then can you begin to address your other issues. Maybe you need to think selfishly for a while and make your own health the clear no. 1 priority. You've come to a good, friendly site where people care and will do their best to help you at this difficult time.
All good things, Jon

Thank you all, I see that my health must come first. In time if I can show progress and change maybe I can get her back and be the family I so want us to be. Sat here now, alone and struggling with the fact a bottle isn't in front of me. Gotta be strong...
