Anyone else feel/felt this way? I feel like I'm going to be far too complex and stubborn and impermeable for the counsellor. Can anyone tell me your experiences of CBT?

CBT works well for loads of people, unfortunately this wasn't my experience. I could understand the way I was suppose to be thinking but it meant nothing, just words.

Hi I had 4 sessions of CBT I listened and learned some techniques but I get much more from my counseller by talking, I found the two together more useful.

I had CBT and felt that it would not work because i had it years ago and it was useless but the guy i had this time was great. I feel that i was really making some progress and then he moved away and straight away i took many steps back and haven't been the same since, I am waiting to get another appointment so i feel that it could be helpful for me but I feel i also need something else with it. Give it a try and you may get positive results like i did but give it a fair chance and try not to give up on it. Nothing ever gets fixed easily!
Good luck!!!
