Title: Cause and effects

Do you believe there is a link between what we do and how we feel or do you believe this is completely random?
I did lots of tidying, cleaning etc over the past few days and have had low mood today. Do you think it is something to do with doing too much or is it completely random??

Without a doubt  ;) it's got to be a bit of both

A bit much like yourself I did  quite allot over the w/e and was planning to get some things done today, but sadly I feel pretty weak right now, bones sore, eyes tired, the usual stuff.

I think in your mind you build something up  that you are going to do and when it comes to do it you feel pretty low and your mind starts to go into overdrive.

If that makes any sense what so ever !

It does make sense yeah.
I find it totally crazy that one minute I am mopping the floor and hoovering the car, the next, I feel like sleeping and everything I had planned to do seems too much!

With my bipolar sometimes (most) my mood changes without warning, if I go high this is followed by a low.

Sometimes though there is a cause & effect. If I do loads of exercise it can make me high ish.

Ah okay, I see. I am too sure how it works for me although certain things seem to trigger it: sleep for too long = low mood, seeing people + doing things (when I am recovering) = helps forget about low mood thoughts....

I find the more I do, the worse I feel at the moment.

I see. I think I really need to use my CBT MAP timetable and draw my own conclusions.
When I was on meds that wasn't working for me, lack of sleep and doing too much was a total disaster!
