Hi everyone,
I have suffered from depression on and off since my teen years and am now in my forties.
I have been on and off various medications during this time and find them for propping me up during difficult times. As a result, I have been able to live a relatively normal life but
without medication I feel I would be unable to cope. But along the way I have also managed to learn how to cope better with my depression and recognise the signs that make it worse. I was lucky enough that my mother recognised the signs and was able to see a GP early on to help me. I still struggle with day-to-day things and have a tendency to bury my head in the sand instead of taking action.
However, I thought I would sign up to this forum to help express my feelings and share my experiences with others and hopefully help them aswell.
