So I'm sitting at home in front of my PC, watching television and feeling very low... My phone rings and it is one of my close friends.. so I ignore the call.. he calls again and I answer. All cheery and happy saying hello, he offers to come round for an hour for a dup of tea and a chat.. but I've told him I'm going to be bed.. I know for a fact he could've come round and that I'll be up for a while yet but can't face anyone today :'(
grrrr!

That's part of depression, don't worry we've all done it!
If you had pneumonia, you wouldn't be expected to have guests coming round yeah? Same with depression!
Have you read "Depressive Illness the curse of the strong"? It will tell how why you need to be kind to yourself!!

Umm nope I've not read that but I shall go out and get it when I'm in town next :) Thanks for the advice :)
-
Or you can order it online?
It teaches you how depression is a physical illness and you should rest and be kind to yourself.

Sounds like a good read, do you know who the author is?
I have days like that Kyahstar or when I am in company, I feel really awkward.
I think sometimes its difficult to accept that depression IS an illness and not just a frame of mind.

The author is Dr Chris Cantopher. It is a good read!
I have read sooo much about depression I am a total geek how bad is that!!

Lol, nothing wrong with wanting to understand your illness more.
Going to see if its available on kindle :)

It is, that's how I got it :)
The title is rubbish but the actual book is very interesting. I heard some GPs recommend it too.
