Hi all,
My folks arrive soon for my wedding, and I need your advice please: My mum isn't bringing anything to wear to the wedding (as she hasn't got anything appropriate for the weather & occassion) and we need to go find her something. I have only lived in the UK 5 years, and while I know where to shop for clothes in my 'age range', I don't know where to take her.
She is 55, and I was thinking of taking her to M&S. I doubt that Next, New Look, TopShop or Primark would be the right places to look? I might be wrong??
Are there particular shops that you would recommend?
Am quite ignorant about fashion & shopping (even buying clothes for myself is a challenge!!) so any advice is appreciated!

Thanks so much!
Just realised the thread topic sounds a bit ageist. I hope I didn't offend.
Thank you for your feedback

Wedding stuff for the bride's mum.... Got to be Debenhans or House of Fraser. Or Selfridges or John Lewis if you're in a big city
Hope she finds something nice

Or maybe Wallis? Xx

I love shopping. Next is good for formal wear, I am always taking my mum there (she is 56). Debenhams is good, House of Fraser, Wallis, M&S - sometimes, it wouldn't be my mum's first choice!! Coast is good for dresses, and Hobbs, but it can be expensive :) xxx

Thank you so much for the feedback!
I'm not a very 'girly' girl and suspect I was born without a 'shopping' gene, so this is tremendous help.

Now I'm sounding sexist...

Apologies!
