Hi
I just joined the forum.
Have struggled with depression for a long time.
Just had a major life change - moved house, but big change of lifestyle as well and didn't have much time to get my head round the idea, so not really coping. Keep wanting to just get off the planet.
Can't see any reasons to stay on it.
People don't really get it so I just feel guilty for existing round them all the time and being like this.
Just wanted to find somewhere I don't have to feel guilty for existing and for being like I am.

I can completely relate. I'm going through a similar life change - moved to a new flat, getting married, creating my life in a new country, going to change jobs after I'm married - most people would be really excited by all this exciting change and possibilities. But it sent me into a depression. I have had moments, sometimes what feels like hours, when I look at my life and think, "WHY am I here? I hate it all!!!"
But I am learning that that is the illness talking, scaring me and bringing me down.
It is a long and difficult, and often lonely battle, but this forum is a wonderful place where you can talk about your problems and difficult days, and get such wonderful support. Everyone is really caring and kind, and non-judgemental.
