hi there
a bit loud for a lot of people but i like to listen to linkin park as i find the loudness helps with invasive thoughts and some of the lyrics resonate with me so it sometimes helps me not to feel so alone

I tend to listen to Radiohead or The Divine Comedy.

Good music taste Beetartz. Love Radiohead but sometimes that drags me down deeper. When I'm trying to be more positive, Stevie Wonder Don't You Worry about a Thing. Recently Elbow, With Love. "As anybody with a kind word would know, gonna find you".
The worst part of my depression being bad is that I lost music (which is the most important thing in my life) with the anhedonia. Just trying to rediscover it now.....still feels quite far away though....

Mostly things like Damien Rice/Lisa Hannigan, James, Garbage and Ryan Adams. I find it quite hard sometimes to listen to music when my brain is feeling jumbled, but at other times it calms me. There's a lot of lyrics from these artists that resonate ... My only trouble there is that I then obsess over them :-\

I often have to pummel my brain into submission. ^*& I find Rage against the Machine and Rammstein perform this function perfectly! I do have gentler moods The Icicle Works are a wonderful band that should have been big. Ian McNabb is a great songwriter of poppy songs that strike a chord and help cheer me up sometimes.

Normally it's Westlife, there is one particular song that is very special to me. It was the song my husband and I had our first dance to. I don't always listen to music as have to look after my boys and they don't like my music
