hi everyone
i am currently on venaxx 300mg and dosulepin 50mg i don't know whether these amounts are a lot or normal but after a session this week with my therapist she feels i should have a review as she doesn't think they are helping me anymore i have been taking them for about four years does anyone else have experience with these meds and also is it common for this to happen where they are no longer helping and while i do not want to be on meds forever does anyone have any suggestions as to what else may help both medicinal and complimentary (deppresion and anxiety being the worst issues) thanks for reading

Sorry, I have no idea about these meds. There are quite a few herbal remedies but despite being very pro-herbalism I've never found any yet that help my depression

I don't know anything about these meds, but I was on Citalopram for a few years then they stopped working. So I am now on Duloxetine which has been great and still is. I have depression and anxiety and it works well for both.

Be careful, Tharidler if you decide to take something like St John's Wort as it can interact with what you already take. As far as I know that is the only herbal remedy that has been shown to help with mild depression. Other forms of 'medicine' may offer/promise not just a release from symptoms but a cure. I would avoid these personally. Stuff I'm talking about it: homeopathy, hypnosis, faith healing, ayurveda.
I am also taking venlafaxine 225 mg but not the same generic type you are taking. Nothing is really working at the moment for me but I have recurrent depression and have tried many meds over the years. All I can hope for is my pdoc can keep increasing.

You definitely need to be careful if you take anything herbal with prescription or over the counter medicines. I'm fortunate as I have a friend who's a qualified herbalist and I can ask advice what is counter-indicated

Hi
I'm really sorry I have no experience of these meds, but do know that you have to be careful with herbal remedies and how they interact with what you are taking.
