Hey all..
Sorry for not replying yesterday to people....I had a lot on my mind and went quiet for a while. Sorry
I went to the doctors earlier on this morning to have a chat about how things have been going with me. I was very honest with her and explained that I was overdosing on my pain meds ...she summed it up very nicely that I was 'trying to escape my own mind'.
I couldn't have put it any better....
We had a chat and she has upped my Citalopram, she offered me more counselling too but I have declined that as I feel that the psychologist has helped me all she can do...maybe that's just the depression talking, but the offer is open ended in case I change my mind.
She was very understanding about the pain killer taking, she was kind and even joked with me about it....it's nice to have an understanding gp who does know these illnesses and how they work.
Anyway, that's my update for now!
Hope you guy's are all doing ok too. I am really pleased I have found this place, and even more relieved that you are all good people :)

Hi All,
She was really nice today and it was quite a relief to talk. I didn't want to go actually and waiting there in reception my anxiety kicked in and I was all set on running out but my partner stopped me. She has been worried and really wanted me to see this through before I ended up falling as far down as I did last year.
Lets see how the bigger dose works now, hopefully it will even me out a bit!

Glad you have a nice doctor, Staralfur. It really does make a difference. I had a GP once, well he is still at the practice but our paths never cross, who I went to see once after the death of a very close family member, he spoke to me for an hour. It didn't take away the grief but I felt stronger afterwards. But you should have seen the look on his next patients' faces when I walked back into the packed waiting room!

Thank you everyone!! It's great having a nice doctor!
Started the new dose this morning, but unfortunately I'm reclused to my bed. It's where I have wanted to be all week but its only now I have nothing to stop me :(
How are you all doing? One day I'm hoping to post something really cheery on here....sorry I can't at the moment

Don't worry, no one minds that your not cheery at the moment. Its not your fault and we are all here to support you.
I'm in bed too, I did get up but I'm not feeling too good physically so I have gone back to bed. :(
Hope your new dose starts to work soon xx

Hi, don't worry that's what this place is for, to support each other when times aren't great.
I always think its a pain that all these things take time to start working, hopefully things will get better for you soon &*( &*(
