Hi Everyone,
Just a little bit of advice needed really, my partner has been on 20mg of Citalopram daily since xmas and his doctor has now reduced his dosage to 10mg daily, he is due to start his 10mgs tomorrow, I just wondered whether they will make a difference at all?
He currently says that he doesn't feel anything emotionally while he has been taking the 20mgs, and has no sexdrive at all.
I would just be greatful to hear about other peoples experiences with these meds, and how and if they made you feel any different when the dosage was reduced?
I am just a little concious that I am expecting him to be more like his old self when his dose is reduced but I know this probably wont be the case so just would like to kinda know what to expect.
Many thanks in advance :) x

I came off citralopram very slowly in the early spring last year and had no probems at the time

I was taking Citalopram and it stopped working so I stopped and went straight onto Duloxetine but that was when I was under the Mental Health Team.
I would think it will be a gradual reduction in symptoms, if its done gradually.

4 months into my citalopram meds and they have suddenly stopped working this week, although in that four months they have been great

sounds like they haven't been working then. Do you suffer from a disorder whereby you have periodical depressions, such as bipolar?
