I put in an official grievance to my firms HR department over three weeks ago for bullying which included my direct manager. They sent me a letter a few days later saying they couldn't do anything yet as people were on holiday, ok fair enough. Then I heard nothing for ages so I e-mailed HR and got a letter yesterday saying one of the individuals I named is off sick, so they can't do anything till he comes back, hmm. Funny that because all three of them haven't had a sick day in years, so it must be a coincedence :-\. I reckon, because I am off with depression, that they are hoping I will drop it and just return to work as if nothing happened. I wish they would just put me out of my misery, I mean it is not like I complain all the time, well never actually. It just seems like they are closing ranks because they know I can't go down the tribunal road until a grievance has been undertaken.

I dont think you are as your HR dept will have to interview every one you have complained about and make a thorough investigation, a friend of mine had a complaint made against her (which was eventually proved to be a malicious lie) and it took well over 4 months for the case to be investigated etc

Cheers, Zaf. I didn't realise it could take so long.

it can do but I'd suggest you keep hassling them and of course keep copies of any letters or emails sent in either direction
