Title: mental health retreats
Post by: smirfy21 on April 17, 2012, 05:42:53 PM
Hi guys I have some time on my hands and to be honest I have been thinking about checking myself into some kind of mental health retreat with other people that are suffering from things such as bipolar, depression etc but don't need or want to be in a hospital environment. What I would really like to know is if anybody has ever done this themselves or if they know of any retreats in the UK?

The reason I have decided this is because I have realised that I have taken some time off to deal with my health but have not been particuarly dealing with it, I see my gp and psychiatrist a few times a month but I feel like I need more than that, I would really like to go away and get the structured help I need and learn coping strategies etc so that I can start a fresh when I go back and be able to maintain my mental health.

any advice you could give would be hugely appreciated
