Title: Anyone had ECT ?

Just wondered if anyone has had ECT. Apparently as there is nothing more to be done medically in dealing with my "treatment resistant" depression, ECT may help and my psychiatrist is very keen for me to have it.

My husband is dead against it and I am not up to the decision alone, but was hoping someone may have an opinion they could share ??

Sorry never had ECT and have never known anyone personally that has had this treatment.  But if it was me and other treatments were not working I would try it.

If you feel up to it do some on line research which might help, I agree with shaz, if nothing else works for you its well worth trying
