Title: Blood tests and now ECG
Post by: lightenup on January 26, 2012, 09:20:56 PM
I having been posting for a while, things have not been going well, on top doses of Mertazapine and Sertraline.  Before Xmas the Consultant Physchiatrist told my husband I had drug resistant depression I had to get blood tests done and he added Quietapine to the mix.  This week I got a letter from him telling me I have to get an ECG done and if it is ok I will have to take 400mg Lithium.  Where does this all stop................... I am the only one who thinks that this just agitates me more!!!  Next appointment in 2 weeks time with him.

Is anyone else on such a combo?  I really am under so much stress at the moment my father in law is gravely ill and I can't afford to be doped.  Just wish they would go away and leave me alone at the moment "£"

I had an ECG done just before Christmas which came back good - I'm on a cocktail of meds but only one for depression specifically.  The doctor who wanted me to have it done also talked about reassessing my meds as citalipram isn't working for me anymore but he hasn't got back tome yet.

Not worried about the ECG but a cocktail of 4 meds for the depression, along with having to get blood tests done on a regular basis scares the crap out of me.  My father in law is gravely ill and we have spent 3 weeks daily visits to the hospital, which is getting more stressful. Has anyone been on this cocktail of drugs or Lithium?

No but I know that when on lithium regular blood tests are necessary for some reason
