I am working under an unreasonable amount of pressure. My work load is beyond huge. The shear under taking of such a task is virtually impossible for one man to perform.
I am already behind due to circumstances out of my control.
I have to organise an entire project without assistance or support...a task that should require numerous people.
I am working long hours, and most days I am solitary.
I should not have to do this quantity of work....but I need to do it, although it could all be for nothing.
I have ran out of funds...not my own fault.
I suppose I need to put lessons into practice. Don't let this get to me, if it is possible, it is possible if it is not, it is not.
My career is on the line...but I would rather loose it then go down the route of major depression.
I would like advice from people who are older and wiser than I am, who have experienced huge work loads.

firstly i have no idea how old you are. im only 24 and im not wise :P
is there anyone at all that can help you ??
try your best to keep work and home life separate and relax when you have time.
what sort of work is it. no need to answer that if cant or you dont want to.

My only experience of overwhelming work loads are that they trigger depression in me Steve, I wish I could be more positive for you but my last mini breakdown was due to sheer overwork and worry :(

I'm 28. To exlain my work would take an hour. Basically put, I'm very busy and challenged.
I don't have a home life to speak of.

There is absolutely no way of getting help or being able to delegate?
-
Nope, I am alone with this one, have been since I began. I have learned alot on the way, but time is my enemy, as is my malfunctioning mental health.

As difficult it sounds the only way you can tackle it a day ot a piece at a time, I know what its like to feel totally overwhelmed then when it affects my depression it becomes a vicious circle :( its really the only way I can deal with it
Its possible some of the others have different ways of coping that might work better for you xx

My only experience is my biggest, at work a stable and secure job i was bullied and on a daily basis by a total sadist, pushing more and more work, making things up, inventing lies about me, with no access to equipment i could handle the bulling but not with the added Bodily pain i suffered and am in now, so in effect the just two issues brought me down,
you are handling more than one man can cope with, we are not supermen, there are at least 9 factors which are affecting you at the moment, plate spinning can only be achieved for a short time before one falls off, and halts the show, energy levels will begin to drop and the mountain will look higher. the dark circle appears.
even if we think we can overcome it by tackling each issue as it arises we condition ourselves to wait for the problem just trudging through, the list you have given is going only place downwards, don't jump ship, you need to just begin to understand and let other's understand exactly what walls you are encountering.
years ago i would have said keep going don't give in,you will get there, but i know in the real world that's not a real solution, you need answers to your questions just read them again as if someone else has written them, then you may know which way to go.
