Hi guys,
Just wanted to write a tip that has helped my week start off as a good one, my boyfriend bought me some fish (aww bless him!) as a book he had bought to help him in this situation suggested a pet is good therapy. I was a bit unsure as I always saw fish as boring! But i was wrong! lol. Waking up this morning excited to see how my fish were doing and feed them helped me start my day good. I can also stare at them for hours! lol. I kno this may seems silly to some of you but a pet has helped me so far! xx ^&^

I so agree carrie, we have dogs, cats, chickens, ferrets, cockatiel and fish. I find all our animals very soothing. I also have to see to them everyday too, so however bad I feel it gets me going. Just this morning my sister and me walked our dogs and we had such a laugh about them, I aid to her this is such a tonic.

We only have dogs and horses now but I wouldnt be without them, they give me a reason to get up in the mornings when I've been really down :)

Lol........ I thought you meant fish as in fish n chips!
I do love my kitty cats ^&^ wouldn't be without them. :)

i love animals, but cannot have any as i would not be able to look after them properly, i now this as when i am down nothing matters,

I definitely agree that your tip works. I brought some goldfish for my bedroom the Saturday before last and they are great fun! I love just laying on the end of my bed and watching them swiming about. :)
I also have a rabbit who I love to bits. I get lots of cuddles off him and it definitely makes me feel happier and less lonely :) xx

My dog has cetainly been a great help to me over the last 18 months or so. Hes very big, very hairy and very cuddly and he seems to just know when I need a bit of a hug to cheer me up! he won't leave me alone if I'm crying or a bit sniffily and wherever I go - he goes, its like he's given himself the role of being my protector! And yet when Chris comes home he sort of physically backs off, almost as if to say 'Ok, I've looked after her all day - your turn!' :D

My dogs seem to know also when I am down, they just sit with me and its such a comfort.

My mum has a retired greyhound and whenever I'm crying or even having a panic attack it comes up to me and puts its head on my knee! Dogs have a sixth-sense! lol. Icelolly I'm ALWAYS staring at my fish just swimming around! lol. But Zaf and shaz, you make my fish sound so boring with your farms! lol. x

I am sure that you are right and they do have a sixth sense. Lol it does sound as if we have a lot of animals doesn't it. I love them all to bits. They are all pets and are all really friendly, my chickens and ferrets all have names and are so tame. I think fish are so relaxing I have a aquarium indoors and a pond in the garden, where we have frogs too. We love to sit down by the pond in the summer and watch the fish and frogs. So we do our bit for conservation too lol.
