Hi
Have you been to your GP recently to tell him how you are feeling?
Z xx
-
Well u have come to a great place for support. I'm not depressed but my wife is and these people are fantastic
-
Hey guys
I went to the docs 3 weeks ago amd am back on tuesday
-
Did you get any medication prescribed dmb?
-
20mg citolopram
-
I'm on citralopram, like all antidepressants it can take 3 or 4 weeks to start working, its important to tell your GP exactly how you are feeling so he/she can judge if you need your medication increased at all. Is this a new episode of depression dmb?
-
Yeh had a serios epidode 3 yrs ago where I ended up in hospital
-
Depression is a horrible illness :( I've suffered several episodes over the last 20 years, stress or a catastrophic life event are usually my triggers, I guess your life changes and lsses might have been your triggers?
-
That's normally the case, but at the mo its anxiety attacks more than anything else
-
I've got diazepam for panic attacks but for 'normal' anxiety I use breathing techniques my counsellor showed me.
-
I guess for me the feelings of self hate and the panick attacks just get too much
-
It might be worth asking your GP for counselling also something to take for the panic attacks - unfortunately both are common with depressioj :(
-
Morning all, well I finally fell asleep on the couch at 2am and was awake at 6 worrying. I feel sick and restless this is not good I'm so tired but can't sleep
-
try taking some antihistamine, as long as its not the 'non drowsy' type that will sometimes help :)
-
I'm really hot and clamy and have felt sick for days. Is this normal? Ohhhh my legs arestless also %^&
-
I'm not sure, you may have a bug on top of everything else, please do try to go see your GP xx
-
restless legs are actually fairly common and can be treated if it get annoying, just means more bloody meds.

Hey guys
Big brake through, I've just opened up to the mrs nd told her what I'm going through. She said she had a idea I was suffering.

-
Thats a huge step forward, well done :)
-
That is a big break through well done! Involve her in your troubles and let her support you, you will feel a huge benefit.
-
Well done on telling your wife, it's good to have that bit of support.
Are you eating OK? I only ask because I've lost my appetite with my anxiety, and when I haven't eaten properly I feel sick....
-
hey guys
eating.... ive not had much of an appetite for a while, just feel tired so not eating.
let me give u a bit of background to my issues, got myself into some money worries a couple of years ago that really started to get me down worried daily about cash etc. then i split up wit my ex and her and my daughter moved out which resulted in me ending up in hospital.started on citalopram back to mams for a year, got me self back on my feet. Work then changed and whilst i have a job i struggle there feeling anxious towards my manager which i still do. Then i lost my rock my mam to cancer. My new gf then fell pregnant with my son. moved 30 miles away from my family and now having issues at work.now back on citalopram. fell out with my brother and dad ends up in hospital with a broken back before xmas this year
generally done in folks
