Title: Hello
Post by: PMD1911 on November 27, 2011, 09:58:34 PM
Hi, after much thought I decided joining this forum would be a good thing. I have wanted to for a while.

I've recently been diagnosed with Psychotic Major Depression. It's not a type of depression thats talked about much and I was wondering if anyone had any experience of it themselves.

Thanks.

James.

Hi James.

Not familiar with this either, but I guess talking about simple stuff like day to day struggles helps with most forms of depression. Since I joined the forum I have found many words of comfort and this in turn has helped cope with a few tough days of late.

Its hard to talk to strangers about our darkest fears and struggles sometimes, but if you feel you can it might help you. Even if its just small day to day niggles.

Welcome.

Hi James

Welcome and I hope you find some help here :)

I have not heard of the exact terminology you mention, but my mother was diagnosed with acute clinical depression many years ago - I don't know the exact terms that the medical profession use to describe depression levels though.

Hi there. I have extensive experience of psychotic depression, indeed am in the middle of one now. If there is anything I can do to help you, just let me know.
