Sore eyes and depression
« on: February 09, 2012, 07:33:28 PM »
Not sure if a link exists between depression and sore eyes.

However, since my breakdown, I have had very sore eyes, its like eye strain.

Not all the time, and in varies between each eye.

I get this too, my eyes hurt, not sure if it's exhaustion or crying or something stress-like.

I also get toothache in various teeth but not all the time and not the same teeth.

Maybe we are just more sensitive to all sorts of pain?

I think sensitivity plays a bit part in it.

As soon as I'm overtired I get toothache and my eyes hurt a lot generally, like you say Kate - I put it down to exhaustion and crying.

This too shall pass.

I had to stop wearing my contact lenses as mine got so dry.   Never thought about before but maybe my depression and my eye dryness could be conected.

Harmful intentions
particularly those involving deliberate acts exploitation, seem to cause longer-lasting and more painful emotional consequences than natural disasters. The crucial factor may be that such experiences destroys people’s trust in others, particularly if they involve someone you have depended on.

if i were to go through all my symptoms of my depression, it's embarrassingly long that i didn't realize that i was suffering from anything when basically i was falling apart!

I get toothache, which I think is down to jaw clenching, and sore throats.

My eyes also get sore, even when I go to bed at night and by eyes are closed.
I still have to squeeze and rub my eyes.

I've been getting alot of migraines too over the past few months.
They have been so bad that they have woken me in the night. When I lie down, the migraine gets worse, when I sit up, I feel nauseous and like I am going to throw up.
It's a loose loose situation   :'(

I am going to to.
I'm going to go and get my eyes tested as well, although I am not convinced that it is an eye related problem as when I go to bed, I am fine, and the pain strikes in the middle of the night!

However, working with computers probably isn't helping (I have 4 monitors and a laptop on my desk  :(
..........I hate computers  :'(

Do you feel as if you clench your mouth when you are stressed?  I had problems with really bad headaches, it turned out I was clenching my jaw and thus caused the terrible headaches.  I got fitted with a mouth guard to wear at night, its clear so you can't tell I am wearing it, and its helped so much.

Just a thing to consider.

No, that is not something that I do, or atleast I notice that I do.
Other than talking in my sleep, I'm not aware of doing anything else
