Title: Is there anyone here who is better than me at maths?
Post by: Amanda_George on March 15, 2017, 12:10:13 PM: Just simple addition and subtraction but I get significantly different results every time I do it! lol

This is what I worked out yesterday (copied and pasted from my blog):

Trying to work out how much I've got to spend on next week's shopping and it goes from Â£79 all the way up to Â£160! lol
I've got Â£429 in there, take off yesterdays grocery shopping takes it down to Â£327. With me so far?
Take off Â£239 for my bills tomorrow leaves me with Â£88 yeah?
So how did I get it to Â£160??
All I can think is that I took my bills off the Â£429 instead of the Â£327
Yet again I've got a different number... Â£190 now! lol

And this is what I got this morning (copied and pasted this from my blog too):

Got Â£200 left in my account after today's bills come out.
Still got Â£108 to come out before the end of the month.
That leaves Â£92 yeah?
Got Â£12.40 in Sainsbury's vouchers from this week's shopping.
Â£92 + Â£12.40 =Â£104.40 so far, yeah?
Take off the 40p for the bags, that makes Â£104 yeah? I reckon I really can afford to spend over Â£100 on the shopping next week... I don't want to risk getting my maths wrong again though! lol

So which calculation is right please? lol
