"Solar powered flashlights"

This really made me laugh because it reminded me of my best friend's silliest moment. I should point out that I love her very much and she is very intelligent but, like me, says the stupidest things at times.

On holiday in the USA she saw some lovely and unusual solar powered garden lamps; she took them to the cashier and said "before I buy these can I just ask if they will work okay in the UK?". The cashier was very professional and said he thought they would be fine, my friend's husband was on the floor laughing. ;D

Helicopter ejector seat ….
Not as daft as it sounds, they have been working on the idea of these….
The theory is that explosive bolts would be used to detach the rotors a few seconds before the seats are jettisoned.

Hmmm! A theory remains only a theory until proven Stewart!! I firmly believe Darwin and Wallace's theory of evolution, there is a huge weight of observational evidence in its favour but it is still only a theory and still not scientifically proven as fact.

Would you fancy being the pilot that risks being turned into mincemeat to test the helicopter ejector seat theory?  ;)
