Why did it feel that venlafaxin was going to help and I feel crap again!
I just want to get back to my happy self!
Think I am going to go back see doc tomorrow and tell her I do want to see a psychiatrist. I don't understand why I get such lows it's killing me!

Book.... as I think I was saying last night, a Psychiatrist is a good way forward. GP's are good up to a point, but when we're dealing with more complex cases of depression, the Psychiatrist is the specialist.
I feel for you. Not only do you have the depression to contend with, but also the enormous disappointment after the initial boost from Venlafaxine . From similar recent experience, I can say that things do start to level out again.
Chatting with the GP is not such a bad idea either because, personally, I think you're long over due an increase. Sometimes these nice GP's don't know everything. They stick to text book guidelines, whereas a psychiatrist has more practical experience under their belt.
I wish there was more that I could say top make everything feel more hopeful.

Aww thank you Cat!!!
CBT has helped me tonight and we'll see how things progress, I may well ask for a referral.
I too am hoping things will level out, my therapist says I need to give it time as I've had lots of change of meds and things need to settle down!

Venlafaxin increase last night and tonight are making me a lot calmer though so that's welcome!
GP says we can increase the dose again if needed so going to try to give it this week then see her again.
I do feel like I am picking up a little bit again, CBT session helped me a lot so I am going to try to use this.
I don't feel suicidal, I just feel worried mostly.... wait and see thanks for the tips anyway :)

That's good to hear, Book, I think the GP was being too overly cautious.
