Hi Laura,
What did you study at uni? Is there any particular area of office work you are interested in, which you could perhaps specialise in?
I'm wondering whether something that is office-based, but not as hectic, would be better for you - ie not office admin or office support, but a more 'specialised' role.
I'm afraid I'm not very knowledgeable about careers, but have you considered seeing a careers counsellor? I don't know how many of these are around or the cost involved, but this may be an option?
It doesn't seem right that companies ask you to resign 'because you can't meet the targets'... Surely they should be working with you to help you?
And it seems outrageous that a supermarket or shop won't hire someone with a disability and won't make a space for them in their staff, and give them jobs according to their abilities... maybe I am naive but it seems wrong that they turned you away?
I was fairly similar after I left uni - my first job lasted 3 months, then the next one, 5 months, etc etc - you are not alone! I know how it feels.
Hang in there is all I can say, keep persevering. I know it's tough, and you must be feeling despondent. But try to keep trucking.
Perhaps, if you are keen, see whether any charities in your area are hiring. The work will be office-based but probably different to usual commercial environments?
I get the feeling they are far more accommodating.
For example, I would quite like to work for a mental health charity, or a women's rights charity, because these are close to my heart.
